Airtel is preparing to shut down its Wynk Music app and has entered into a new partnership with Apple.

This collaboration will introduce exclusive offers for Apple TV+ and Apple Music to Airtel customers in India later this year.

With the closure of Wynk Music, Airtel will integrate its employees into other roles within the company.

Wynk Premium subscribers will gain access to special Apple Music offers. Wynk Music, which was launched in 2014, currently boasts over 100 million subscribers.

As part of the deal, Apple TV+ will be included in Airtel's Xstream video streaming platform, available through premium subscription plans.

The financial details and pricing of these plans are yet to be revealed.

This announcement comes as Disney and Reliance seek antitrust approval for their $8.5 billion merger, aimed at creating the largest entertainment entity in India.
